Mounjaro Click Chart

The Mounjaro KwikPen click counter is a tool that helps estimate how many dial clicks on a Mounjaro (tirzepatide) pen correspond to a specific dose. It is commonly used by patients trying to approximate smaller doses from higher-strength pens.

A full dose on most Mounjaro KwikPens equals about 60 clicks, which delivers the entire prescribed dose (for example 10 mg on a 10 mg pen).

The number of clicks depends on the strength of the pen. Typical approximations include:

• 2.5 mg pen: about 60 clicks for a full dose
• 5 mg pen: about 30 clicks for 2.5 mg
• 10 mg pen: about 15 clicks for 2.5 mg
• 15 mg pen: about 10 clicks for 2.5 mg

Each click on a Mounjaro KwikPen delivers about 0.01 mL of liquid. Because higher-strength pens contain more concentrated medication, the milligrams per click change depending on the pen strength.

Some patients split doses by counting clicks on the pen. This is an off-label but fairly common practice among some users. However, it is not an approved method by the manufacturer. Incorrect dosing may occur if the click count or pen strength is misunderstood.

The multi-dose Mounjaro KwikPen is currently available in the United Kingdom, European Union countries, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. In some countries, Mounjaro is supplied only as single-dose auto-injector pens, which do not allow dose dialing or click counting. This applies to markets such as Israel and Brazil.
